Clarence “Turtle” Fuoss passed away on September 8, 2023. He was a proud U.S. Army veteran, having served during the Vietnam era. Turtle was thrilled when his family placed his name on the military honor roll in Scottdale! Turtle and his wife Janet were the parents of 2 daughters (Diane and Leslie). When Diane was born in April of 1964, Turtle was stationed overseas and saw Diane for the first time when she was 3 months old. Turtle also had 2 sons-in-law, 4 grandsons, 2 granddaughters-in-law, and 3 great grandchildren. He retired from Teledyne Summerill in Scottdale where he had been a furnace operator. He was a member of Calvary Assembly of God Church in Connellsville and enjoyed gospel music and had been a pit crew member for stock cars for a number of years.
